Sonic Creator Yuji Naka Joins Square Enix
Sonic the Hedgehog/Sonic Team mastermind Yuji Naka says he's joined Square Enix in an unspecified development role.
Naka left Sonic Team at Sega in 2006 to head up his own studio, Prope, which has put out games predominately for Nintendo platforms and mobile.
Just a quick note to let you know, I joined SQUARE ENIX in January.

I’m joining game development as before, and strive to develop games at SQUARE ENIX.
I aim to develop an enjoyable game, please look forward to it.

Our Take
Naka hasn't been relevant in a while, but on paper this seems like a win-win for everyone. It'll be interesting to see if he leads his own team/project, or joins forces with an existing one.
