Backward Compatibility Brings Mafia II And The Original Prey To Xbox One

Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb, announced on Twitter that Mafia II and Prey are now available for Xbox One via backward compatibility. Players can find these two gems in the Games on Demand section of the Xbox Store, where they are deeply discounted as part of a 2K publisher sale.

The library of backward compatible games continues to grow, with over 450 titles from both Xbox 360 and the original Xbox available for the current-gen system. To see our thoughts on Mafia II, check out our review here or our replay here to see how well it has aged.

Our Take
The backward compatibility function for the Xbox One has been one of the biggest selling points for the system. While I'd still want to see more exclusives to try and compete with the libraries of PlayStation and Nintendo, Xbox has been making great strides in making this system a one-stop shop to play both old and new favorites, even going as far as making some classic games run better than ever.
