Find Your Grind Announces $450K Esports Scholarship Fund

Find Your Grind, an organization that helps kids explore unique careers and unconventional lifestyles, has announced a $450k scholarship program dedicated to esports programs. Partnering with the esport infrastructure company ReKTGlobal, Find Your Grind aims this scholarship towards those interested in careers in the esport industry, whether it be as an esport athlete, a commentator, a streamer, an event programmer, or any other passion surrounding esports.

“As we’ve hosted our live events with high school students around the nation, one topic that always comes up with them is their passion for esports and gaming,” said Nick Gross, Founder of Find Your Grind. “It is such an exciting industry with huge opportunity for growth among youth, so we wanted to create programs that show students that if they are passionate about gaming, they can pursue it as a viable lifestyle.”

“With the rapid rise of esports, youth interest in the space is increasing, but so is the need for quality talent,” said Amish Shah, Founder of ReKTGlobal. “We wanted to find a way to give opportunities to students to pursue esports and gaming, but also wanted to support the future of esports by providing the talent that will keep pushing the industry forward. Youth involvement is pivotal for the long-term future of esports and FYG is committed to helping kids carve a path and live their passion for esports.”

Unlike most scholarships, a Find Your Grind scholarship does not have to be put towards college tuition, but can also be allotted towards the costs of attaining a license or permit, as well as buying necessary equipment to start a business. The esports scholarship is also not reliant on competitive gaming skill or GPA, but rather about a person's passion and ambition. More information about the esports scholarship will be made available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out more their websites to learn more about Find Your Grind and ReKTGlobal. Our Take
Tip of the hat to both Find Your Grind and ReKTGlobal for this amazing opportunity. The more organizations and scholarships that can help kids realize that they don't have to "git gud" at Overwatch in order to find a fulfilling career in eSports, the better.
