Kingdom Hearts Player Attains Level 100 By Staying In First World

For an entire month, a Twitch streamer dedicated his spare time grinding to level 100 in Kingdom Hearts by staying in the first world because reasons.

AaroneusGaming reached the maximum level by remaining on Destiny Islands, the home of Sora and gang that acts as a tutorial for players. To get acclimated to the combat and gain experience points, or EXP, players can fight younger versions of Tidus and Waka from Final Fantasy X, along with Selphie from Final Fantasy VIII. Defeating Wakka and Selphie garners one meager EXP, while defeating Tidus gives two.

Players can earn additional points with well-timed blocks or attacks against enemies. To farm EXP, Aaroneus blocked a certain attack by Tidus in which he charges toward Sora. At first, the block rewards four EXP, but with abilities gained through leveling up that turned into six EXP.

Here's some context for how crazy this grind is. Questions asked to the player at the beginning of the game ultimately decide how much experience you gain at certain levels. You can kick off the game by leveling up slower and then making the grind past level 40 easier, or vice versa. The choices that ultimately require the lowest number of EXP comes out to 5,194,774. If Aaroneus focused solely on blocking Tidus' attack for EXP, that means he did it anywhere from 865,795 to 1,298,693 times. To get the final four points, however, Aaroneus aptly chose to defeat Riku, the main character's best friend.
