Lando Gets Another Shot In His Second Comic Series

While Disney's reticence to reveal the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer about 100 days from release has been concerning for some fans, the marketing has gone into full swing. In order to give fans a closer look into the stories and characters surrounding the upcoming film, EW has exclusively revealed peripheral material emerging out of hyperspace soon.

One of the most exciting reveals comes with Lando: Double Or Nothing. A five-part comic series written by The Boondocks writer Rodney Barnes, the arc follows the charismatic dealer and new droid L3-37 with an event set right before the upcoming movie. A novel is also in the works titled Last Shot by Daniel José Older. It, too, devotes time to Lando and L3-37, but also features an arc devoted to Han and Chewie meeting smuggler Sana Starros, who is a heavily involved figure in the ongoing Star Wars comic set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. A snippet of events after Return of The Jedi will be written about as well that includes a young Ben Solo. The book comes with a reversible cover featuring Lando, which book publisher Del Rey details in the tweet below. The novel will release on April 17, but dates for the comic series remain unknown at this time.

Other announced material include a YA novel about Han's teenage years with Qi'ra on the planet Correlia. "We’ll see what it was like for these two kids from Corellia to survive the seedy streets of this industrial world," Lucasfilm Publishing creative director Michael Siglain told EW. "They’re definitely products of their environment, and this story shows that. "There's an art book for the Solo film, an official guide providing backstory to props and characters, and more. You can skim through the whole gallery by clicking here.
