Update: Hasbro Still Wants You To Fund Its Biggest Star Wars Vehicle
Update: Hasbro's crowdfunding campaign for Jabba's Sail Barge is coming to a close in less than two weeks with nearly 3,000 out of 5,000 supporters needed to make it come to life. To incentivize new backers, Hasbro has released images of the Khetanna fully decoed, which looks like it's been pulled straight out of the film.
In addition, Star Wars collectors will have the chance to gain an exclusive figure from the obscure annals of the Star Wars universe. A mere background character in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Saelt-Marae (also known as "Yak Face") is a sly information broker who absconded with many of Jabba's secrets right before his barge went up in flames. His figure is 3.75 inches tall and will come with an exclusive coin.
You can check out the campaign through this link and watch a timelapse of the barge's creation below.

Original Story (published 2/19/18):
Following in the footsteps of Kickstarter and Lego's Lego Ideas platform, Hasbro has announced that fans and collectors can bring dream projects to life with Haslab. The toy publisher will pose more unique, outlandish ideas with the platform and move forward if enough people pledge to meet minimal funding. The initiative begins with the lofty goal of bring a 4-foot long Jabba's Sail Barge to life.
Hasbro's Star Wars senior principal designer Mark Boudreaux says that this is the largest Star Wars vehicle he's worked on over his 40-year career. The set has been designed with exceptional detail thanks to Lucasfilm's digital archives and film set photos. Removable side panels, premium deco, soft-cloth fabric for the sails, and other design elements lend the replica a sense of authenticity, which comes with a 3.75-inch scale version of the notorious Hutt himself.
