Arabian Nights-themed first-person rogue-lite City of Brass leaves early access in May

Developer Uppercut Games has announced that its Arabian Nights-themed first-person rogue-lite City of Brass will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 4th, following six months of Steam early access development.

City of Brass pits players against the titular city, its procedurally generated environs, fantastical denizens, and deadly traps - all in an effort to traverse 12 increasingly fraught stages to reach the city's mysterious centre before time runs out.

It's a game focussed around breathless fluidity and melee combat, arming players with a scimitar for classic enemy bopping, and a whip that's used to disarm opponents, drag them in close, or simply swing about the place. It's got a pretty spectacular art style too.
