The new Vive Pro Starter Kit is only £1048

Easter can be an expensive time so thank goodness for the new Vive Pro Starter Kit - to go on sale 5th April for Vive's second birthday - which is a steal at only £1048/$1100. And people thought PlayStation 3 was expensive...

Sniffiness aside, the Vive Pro Starter Kit does save you money. Bought separately, the Vive Pro (£800) with two 1.0 base stations (£120 each) and two 1.0 controllers (£120 each) costs £1240, so you're saving roughly £200. (The 2.0 Vive Pro kits will be detailed soon, apparently.)

Alone, the new Vive Pro - which has a much higher 2880x1600 display as well as built-in headphones and a redesigned head strap - costs £800, but is compatible with the same base stations and controllers as the existing Vive headset so you needn't upgrade them. Vive Pros begin shipping 5th April.
