Work has resumed on Telltale's final season of The Walking Dead

Entertainment company Skybound has revealed that work has resumed on Telltale Games' previously suspended final season of The Walking Dead, and that release dates for the two remaining episodes will be announced soon.

Work on the final season of The Walking Dead video game was halted when developer Telltale Games laid off the vast majority of its staff in September, in anticipation of the studio's closure. Since then, however, Skybound - a company founded by Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comic series - has stepped in to complete the game.

"It's been a ton of work logistically and legally to get us to a place where we're able to roll up our sleeves and get to the actual work," Skybound said in a new statement. However, work is now underway, and "many of the talented, passionate team members who originally worked on the game are resuming development efforts today!"
