2K's workaround for Civ 6 Switch bug crashing games on brink of victory: declare war
Civ 6 publisher 2K is investigating widespread reports the Nintendo Switch version of the strategy game is crashing just as players are about to win.
Whether you're about to score a cultural, science or religious victory, players are finding the game gives up and crashes instead. Just as they end their winning turn, the computer says no.
"That is its version of kicking the game table over," Civ fan Tigris_Morte wrote on reddit, in one of several threads documenting the issue, as well as 2K's subsequent customer support response (thanks, Nintendo Life).
