The Call of Duty movie gets a release date, but can it continue the trend of popular video game adaptations?

A Call of Duty movie is set to release on the 30th June,2028. Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan and Battleship's Pete Berg will be writing and directing the flick, respectively.
